Training Courses and Seminars
PfiNDE, Inc has developed our own training courses to provide qualifications to use FAST UT. This course is limited to personnel of PfiNDE and companies with which we have strategic alliances. The course is primarily “hands on” using our extensive inventory of crack specimens. These flaws are used for detection and through wall sizing training, practice and qualification. OD sizing is an extremely useful specialty covered extensively in the training.

Qualification of NDE Personnel
To ensure personnel are competent for the assigned tasks, PfiNDE level III personnel can set up and administer training and testing for specific requirements. Though we can do typical ASNT training and qualification services, we suggest that be done by others. When specific components or tasks need to be addressed, PfiNDE is an excellent choice to design and implement comprehensive qualifications for specific tasks.

Third Party Review of NDE Data and Inspections
To ensure that NDE is being performed and documented adequately, it is recommended to have PfiNDE do data reviews and reviews of field processes. We can review anything fromdatafrom a specific examination to the entire NDE effort. Our engineering affiliates sometimes take the lead in the reviews.

Expert Analysis
Certain critical NDE calls may need to be re-evaluated if, for no other reason, than to ensure that the original call was the right one. PfiNDE is an excellent choice for this. We can ensure that the original examination was appropriate. We can repeat that original examination to ensure it was done correctly. We can design alternative methods to the original examination to attempt to validate the original call.

"Code" techniques are not appropriate for every situation. Most codes recognize this and provide for alternative techniques provided when those techniques are appropriately qualified and documented.
